WHAT DO WE BELIEVE IN?

We, the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, believe in God, Jesus and the Bible. Since God is the Word (John 1:1), the Word of the Bible is the basis of our faith and the standard of our faith.
 
God always carries out his work according to the same principle: He gives prophecies and He fulfils them without exception (Isa 14:24). God's desire is that we believe in the prophecy and its fulfilment at a certain point in time. This is the reason why God has given us prophecies, so that we believe in the fulfilment when it comes to pass (John 14:29). 

We believe in the prophecies of the New Testament, in the words of promise that Jesus gave about his return. Furthermore, we believe in the New Covenant that Jesus made in his blood and that it must be kept in order to receive forgiveness of sins (Heb 8:10-12). Jesus promised us that he would come again and gave us many prophecies for the time of his return.
 
We are now living in the time of his return, the time when all these promises will be fulfilled according to the Bible. We in Shincheonji believe in the reality that has occurred and can be accurately witnessed.
 
At the first coming of Jesus, God descended on Jesus as He had promised before through the prophets of the Old Testament. Through Jesus, he fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament. However, the world of faith at that time, Judaism with the Pharisees and scribes at its head as well as the people belonging to it, did not believe in the fulfilment of the Old Testament and in the promised shepherd Jesus. Instead, they persecuted him. Although they knew the scriptures by memory, they recognised neither the predictions nor the fulfilled reality of the Old Testament.
 
Just as with the first coming of Jesus, there are also people in the time of the Second Coming who do not believe in the words of the New Testament and therefore persecute Shincheonji in a terrible way.
 
During this time, God sends a shepherd to whom he shows the truth and the fulfilled reality of Revelation. This shepherd has the task of proclaiming to the world what he has seen and heard (Rev 10:11, Rev 22:16). We in Shincheonji believe that Lee Man Hee is the promised shepherd, the advocate of God and Jesus, who carries out this mission according to God's will and proclaims nothing but God's words.
 
He gives people the testimony of revelation and explains the words of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. He does not speak his own words, nor does he substantiate the word of God with interpretations. He speaks of what he himself saw, heard and received from heaven as revelation (Rev 22:8). The words he speaks can be proved with the Bible and it can be established that he preaches according to the Bible.
