FAQ
I understand Revelation as the end of the world event. Why does Shincheonji claim that the revelation is currently being fulfilled?
If one understands the revelation literally, one could think that it is about the end of the world. Such an idea is presented in many films.
To understand the true meaning of Revelation one must understand the parables. According to the principle of Hos 12:11, God shows his prophets visions, which are to be understood as parables.
Is rescue only in Shincheonji?
Salvation is a matter that God decides. The Bible describes the requirements that must be met in order to receive salvation. The 300,000 members of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus practice their faith in the place where these premise are taught based on the Bible. Accordingly, the members of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus proselytize not by inviting people to worship, but by motivating people to learn the Word of God in the Bible. The Bible is not a book containing only past history. It also contains the prophecies about the future and describes in detail how these will be fulfilled.
Even when Jesus came about 2,000 years ago, the things prophesied about in the Old Testament were fulfilled. Accordingly, more and more people believed in the words of Jesus, even if they were persecuted for it. They became people who believed in Jesus, the first Christians. The New Testament contains prophecies about the return of Jesus. And it goes without saying that the things God foretold will be fulfilled. The Shincheonji Church of Jesus announces that New Testament prophecies are presently being fulfilled. It is up to each individual to decide whether or not to accept this fact. The members of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus proclaim this message with all their hearts because they firmly believe in it.
Is it true that Shincheonji claims only 144,000 people will be saved?
Such a teaching has never existed in the Shincheonji Church of Jesus. There is also no member in Shincheonji who would believe in such a thing. God said in 1 Tim 2:4 that it is His desire that all people should be saved. And through Revelation 7, a prophetic book of the Bible, God promised that the 144,000 priests and countless people clothed in white robes would have their sins forgiven. The number 144,000 indicates the number of priests. For this reason, the Shincheonji Church of Jesus gathers the 144,000 priests who are sealed with the Word of the Bible to fulfill God's promise. And we believe that when the 144,000 people whose ability and faith are to be recognized are prepared, countless numbers will hear God's message and come to the Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
